How to Use

Clean skin thoroughly before use. Apply a thin layer (1-3 pumps) daily to cover entire face. May be used AM and/or PM. Follow with appropriate moisturizer and sunscreen as needed.

If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce use to every other day or stop use. Stop use and ask a doctor if prolonged rash or irritation develops.

  • Ascorbic Acid 2-Glucoside (AA2G): A stable, less irritating derivative of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C).
  • 5.8% AHA/BHA/PHA Complex
    • Mandelic Acid: An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently dissolves dead skin cells on the top layer of the epidermis.
    • Encapsulated Salicylic Acid: A beta hydroxy acid (BHA). Encapsulation allows for a time-released delivery that reduces irritation and provides better, longer acting results.

Salicylic Acid

A beta hydroxy acid (BHA), Salicylic Acid is the gold standard for treating closed and inflamed comedones, otherwise known as acne. Traditionally it can be irritating on the skin due to its smaller molecular size and need for a lower pH environment. However, Dermwel’s proprietary encapsulated Salicylic Acid mitigates these concerns allowing for a gradual, time released delivery of the potent acid which not only allows reduces skin irritation but provides better penetration and longer acting results.

Mandelic Acid

An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently dissolves dead skin cells on the stratum corneum of the epidermis or top layer of the skin, revealing brighter, smoother looking skin. Mandelic Acid has a larger molecular size which keeps it from penetrating deeper in the skin, making it less harsh than BHAs and other AHAs.

Gluconolactone

A poly hydroxy acid (PHA), Gluconolactone is a next generation acid. At the biggest acid molecular weight, it is the gentlest acid and least irritating on the market. It not only gently exfoliates the skin, but also acts as a humectant and antioxidant to boost skin hydration and fight free radicals in the environment.

Lactic Acid


An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently removes dead skin cells and helps to fade dark spots.

Polylysine


A patented solution that balances the microbiome of acne prone skin reducing acne while keeping healthy skin barrier and biome. Polylysine, a dendrimer of the naturally occurring amino acid Lysine, has been proven to target only the acne causing phylotypes of c. acnes bacteria in the skin microbiome allowing the “good” c. acnes bacteria to flourish.

Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Flower Extract

Contains Biochanin A, a flavonoid found in plants, that binds to 5α-reductase to decrease excessive sebum production in the sebaceous glands. This isoflavone also has antimicrobial properties and has been shown to firm and tone the skin similar to an astringent.

Ascorbyl Glucoside

Astable, less irritating derivative of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). Conjugated with glucose from starch, Ascorbic Acid 2-Glucuside converts to Ascorbic Acid when applied to the skin via an enzyme called α-glucoside. Shown to be more stable than other derivatives of Ascorbic Acid at the formulated pH of 4, this allows for sustained effects. Since it is converted to Ascorbic Acid on the skin, it provides the same benefits of vitamin C which includes antioxidant protection from environmental pollutants, decrease in ROS production which increases collagen, and skin brightening.

Diglucosyl Gallic Acid

A next generation antioxidant that not only brightens and protects the skin from environmental stressors, but also has anti-inflammatory properties to decrease redness and yield a more even skin tone. When applied on the skin, Diglucosyl Gallic Acid partially converts to Gallic Acid which has been shown to have a stronger ability to inhibit the activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme that produces melanin, compared to Ascorbic Acid.

Hydrolyzed Pea Protein

Biotech ingredient synthesized via fermentation. The pea protein activates opsins on the skin to manage UV response. Supports in managing underlying UV damage to decrease the appearance of brown pigmentation (susn spots) and brighten the skin.

Carnosine

Biomemetic peptide that when applied topically can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving smoother looking skin. Also acts as an antioxidant that has been proven to slow glycation (the bonding of free sugars to proteins that reduces protein function) to boost skin elasticity. 

Tocopherol

Otherwise known as vitamin E, tocopherol is a naturallyoccurring antioxidant in skin, second to vitamin C. It’s properties help defendfrom pollution and other environmental stressors. Vitamin E can help tostabilize Ascorbic Acid when formulated together.

Allantoin

In nature, allantoin is a byproduct of uric acid which can be extracted from urea. Allantoin is an extremely effective soothing agent with moisturizing benefits. At stronger concentrations, it can exhibit wound healing properties.

Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract

Commonly known as colloidal oatmeal. Dermwel utilizes anenhanced strain of oat supported by a patented extracting processes thatincreases the bioavailability of phytochemicals. Colloidal oatmeal provides excellent anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and antioxidant effects to support the skin barrier.

Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract

A plant extract that is ideal for reducing inflammation and redness. It also has antimicrobial properties.

Squalane

Derived from olives, this oil like ingredient is not only an occlusive emollient that locks in hydration and smooths and soften skin, but also contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Glycerin

Naturally occurring in our skin – glycerin is a humectant which means it helps draw and maintain moisture from surrounding environments. It is the gold standard in hydration.

Sodium Hyaluronate

The salt form of hyaluronic acid. Sodium Hyaluronate provides the same benefits as hyaluronic acid, in that they are both humectants that draw moisture to hydrate and plump the skin. However, given the salt conjugate is more stable than hyaluronic acid and typically has a smaller molecular weight to allow it to penetrate deeper into the skin than hyaluronic acid.

Panthenol

Otherwise known as pro-vitamin B5. When topically applied to the skin it converts to pantothenic acid which is naturally occurring substance in the body. It is a great humectant and even exhibits soothing properties.

Olea Europea (Olive) Fruit Extract

An upcycled ingredient from the olive oil industry. Rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, olive fruit extract is a great moisturizer. This extract also displays antioxidant properties due to the phenol compounds, catechin and rutin, found within.

Tremella Fuciformis Sporocarp Extract

An extract of snow mushroom that has been used in skincare for centuries. Exhibits a similar molecular structure to hyaluronic acid. Functions as a humectant and can hold up to 500x its weight in water.

A poly hydroxy acid (PHA), Gluconolactone is a next generation acid. At the biggest acid molecular weight, it is the gentlest acid and least irritating on the market. It not only gently exfoliates the skin, but also acts as a humectant and antioxidant to boost skin hydration and fight free radicals in the environment.

Lactic Acid


An alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently removes dead skin cells and helps to fade dark spots.

Polylysine


A patented solution that balances the microbiome of acne prone skin reducing acne while keeping healthy skin barrier and biome. Polylysine, a dendrimer of the naturally occurring amino acid Lysine, has been proven to target only the acne causing phylotypes of c. acnes bacteria in the skin microbiome allowing the “good” c. acnes bacteria to flourish.

Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Flower Extract

Contains Biochanin A, a flavonoid found in plants, that binds to 5α-reductase to decrease excessive sebum production in the sebaceous glands. This isoflavone also has antimicrobial properties and has been shown to firm and tone the skin similar to an astringent.

Ascorbyl Glucoside

Astable, less irritating derivative of Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C). Conjugated with glucose from starch, Ascorbic Acid 2-Glucuside converts to Ascorbic Acid when applied to the skin via an enzyme called α-glucoside. Shown to be more stable than other derivatives of Ascorbic Acid at the formulated pH of 4, this allows for sustained effects. Since it is converted to Ascorbic Acid on the skin, it provides the same benefits of vitamin C which includes antioxidant protection from environmental pollutants, decrease in ROS production which increases collagen, and skin brightening.

Diglucosyl Gallic Acid

A next generation antioxidant that not only brightens and protects the skin from environmental stressors, but also has anti-inflammatory properties to decrease redness and yield a more even skin tone. When applied on the skin, Diglucosyl Gallic Acid partially converts to Gallic Acid which has been shown to have a stronger ability to inhibit the activity of tyrosinase, an enzyme that produces melanin, compared to Ascorbic Acid.

Hydrolyzed Pea Protein

Biotech ingredient synthesized via fermentation. The pea protein activates opsins on the skin to manage UV response. Supports in managing underlying UV damage to decrease the appearance of brown pigmentation (susn spots) and brighten the skin.

Carnosine

Biomemetic peptide that when applied topically can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, leaving smoother looking skin. Also acts as an antioxidant that has been proven to slow glycation (the bonding of free sugars to proteins that reduces protein function) to boost skin elasticity. 

Tocopherol

Otherwise known as vitamin E, tocopherol is a naturallyoccurring antioxidant in skin, second to vitamin C. It’s properties help defendfrom pollution and other environmental stressors. Vitamin E can help tostabilize Ascorbic Acid when formulated together.

Allantoin

In nature, allantoin is a byproduct of uric acid which can be extracted from urea. Allantoin is an extremely effective soothing agent with moisturizing benefits. At stronger concentrations, it can exhibit wound healing properties.

Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract

Commonly known as colloidal oatmeal. Dermwel utilizes anenhanced strain of oat supported by a patented extracting processes thatincreases the bioavailability of phytochemicals. Colloidal oatmeal provides excellent anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and antioxidant effects to support the skin barrier.

Salix Nigra (Willow) Bark Extract

A plant extract that is ideal for reducing inflammation and redness. It also has antimicrobial properties.

Squalane

Derived from olives, this oil like ingredient is not only an occlusive emollient that locks in hydration and smooths and soften skin, but also contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Glycerin

Naturally occurring in our skin – glycerin is a humectant which means it helps draw and maintain moisture from surrounding environments. It is the gold standard in hydration.

Sodium Hyaluronate

The salt form of hyaluronic acid. Sodium Hyaluronate provides the same benefits as hyaluronic acid, in that they are both humectants that draw moisture to hydrate and plump the skin. However, given the salt conjugate is more stable than hyaluronic acid and typically has a smaller molecular weight to allow it to penetrate deeper into the skin than hyaluronic acid.

Panthenol

Otherwise known as pro-vitamin B5. When topically applied to the skin it converts to pantothenic acid which is naturally occurring substance in the body. It is a great humectant and even exhibits soothing properties.

Olea Europea (Olive) Fruit Extract

An upcycled ingredient from the olive oil industry. Rich in vitamins and essential fatty acids, olive fruit extract is a great moisturizer. This extract also displays antioxidant properties due to the phenol compounds, catechin and rutin, found within.

Tremella Fuciformis Sporocarp Extract

An extract of snow mushroom that has been used in skincare for centuries. Exhibits a similar molecular structure to hyaluronic acid. Functions as a humectant and can hold up to 500x its weight in water.

Clinical Testing

A 4 week clinical study was performed to confirm Daily Dose is non-comedogenic. The study included 30 panelists - age ranged from 18 - 52, 50% acne prone, full Fitzpatrick scale represented. Results found that not only is Daily Dose non-comedogenic, but panelists on average saw a reduction in comedones.

How long will it take to see results?

Patience is a virtue. Daily Dose provides some instant results such as dewy, more hydrated feeling skin. However, you’ll need to wait 4 – 8 weeks before you see brighter, more toned smooth looking skin.

What testing was performed on this product?

All Dermwel products go through intensive development testing to ensure our products deliver the highest quality results and are safe for use. We performed the following tests:

Preservative Efficacy testing – a 1 month challenge test to confirm the preservative system in the formula is strong enough to keep any mold or bacteria from growing

Repeat Insult Patch testing – a 2 month test performed on over 50 panelists of varying demographics to confirm that the formula is non-sensitizing, does not cause allergic reactions and is safe for sensitive skin types

Package Compatibility testing – a 3 month study to confirm the formula and packaging selected work together and do not cause any issues for long term use

Formula stability testing – a 3 month study that tests the
performance of the formula in freezing and heated temperatures to determine the stability of the product for extended periods of time and various environments

Non-comedogenic clinical trial – a 1 month clinical trial performed on over 25 panelists of varying demographics to confirm that the formula does not cause comedones (acne) on the skin

Do I need to use SPF?

Though we at Dermwel feel you should always where an SPF during the daytime, you do need to wear a sunscreen after applying Daily Dose given the chemical exfoliants in the formula.

Can I use Daily Dose with my retinoid?

Yes! In fact, Daily Dose was developed to pair perfectly with your retinoid at night. The chemical exfoliant complex aids in slewing off old cells turned over with retinoid use at night while the calming and soothing ingredients support a strong skin barrier. We suggest using Daily Dose in the morning and your retinoid at night.

Where does Daily Dose fit in my routine?

Daily Dose can be used both AM and PM if desired. We love using it after our cleanser in the AM before a lightweight moisturizer and SPF. We’ll use it at night if we’re not using a retinoid!

Is Daily Dose pregnancy safe?

Daily Dose does include Salicylic Acid. Because of this, we recommend you discuss with your doctor prior to use while pregnant.

Will Daily Dose break me out?

No! We completed a one month in vivo non-comedogenicy study to ensure Daily Dose will not break you out and is certified as non-comedogenic.
